Ive been saving up for another Subaru Impreza but after careful consideration I have decided to do the intelligent thing and not waste thousands of pounds on a car especially as I am a student.

Ive decided to limit myself to £2000 max and im going keep saving the rest in the bank for a rainy day.

Has anyone had any experience of the cars in the poll and if so which one would you go for?

I used to have a company car (Golf TDI) it was great, and I was quite spoilt. Now I am self emplyed I had to buy my own car. You realise when you have to pay for it yourself, just what cars are for. I ended up with a 9 year old 306 D Turbo, it is sporty, and fairly modern and has a bit of poke. I sincerely think even if I had 15k or so to spend, I would still buy a car for 5k that does the job and use the rest wisely.

I would say get car that does what you need it to do. Also if you go to http://www.whatcar.com/ you get free valuations, so you don't have to stand in WH Smith's reading the Caps guide.

Oh and they also give an honest opinion on any car you want a value on, what to look out for etc etc.
