It seems that along with myself, several of my friends wrote to Jim'll fix it back in the late 80s/early 90s....Has Jim ever fixed it for anyone?

If you wrote to him, what did you ask for? My friend and I asked to perfom a song with Timmy Mallet. I know, I know, we were cool 8 year olds.

I think when I was about 7 I wrote to him asking to meet Superman. Funny how when you're a kid you think that Jim can fix anything. :lol:

my best mate jim once broke my arm when we played foul football which i then had to get fixed, does that count?

Does anyone remember that lad who got to meet Iron maiden...? well i wrote in about 6mth b4 this lad was on tv, (to also meet them etc)....

My friend Jim is a mechanic and he often fixes my car :D so yeah jim's fixed it for me!

I wrote to ask him if he could fix it for me to sing a duet with Val Doonican!

I'm so horrifically ashamed of this but I just can't stop telling people...

I saw him once in a greasy spoon caff in Scarborough - Saville, not Doonican - I think he lives there. He was stinking the whole place out with a smelly cigar. I was going to go and challenge him about not fixing it for me - then I remembered what I'd asked for and realised he probably did me a huge favour.

Imagine trying to live that one down!

i wrote to jim in 1976, aged 8....i wanted to go on concord!

it had been in the news all through the early seventies.....test flights, maiden fllights etc.....i used to draw loads of pictures of it (i still have 'em lol)....i'd been on a jumbo jet, but concord looked COOOOL!

anyway the old git never fixed it :rant:

I was hoping that Jim would have fixed it for at least on person! Boo to Jim.
