Hi All

I wondered if any of you use the xbox online play tools such as Kai or XBC?

Or did you know that there is a free alternative to Xbox Live?

There are 2 applications that you can install on your PC that let you play online for free and as stated above these are called
Kai (http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/?go=download) and Xbox Connect (XBC) (http://www.xbconnect.com/index.php?topic=Downloads) . They are both free ;)

You don't need a modded console to use these but your console does need to be conected via a network cable or wireless to either your PC or your router. If anyone needs a bit of help getting started I can post the links or advise you but it's quite simple.

Anyway... My daughter likes to play these first person shooter things like Halo (I just play dead all the time at these) and I quite like a Game of Links 2004 (Golf) and we were wondering if any local people ever go online. It could be a bit of fun if anyone is interested.

Ill tan your hide at halo 2 :D
I think it would be a great idea for all the sheffielders, to have a whack on xbc, or kai.

i reckon we need to sort a time and date out tho :)

stellstar...

I guarantee you will beat me at Halo2 :P

I've just created a whole new online game for FPS.. It's called Fall On The Ground !!! The idea of my new multi player game is to be dead the most times in one game

We used to have a good group of people in the UK that played various online games via these apps and it worked well. With all the people being fairly local (UK) the pings were pretty low all the time so lag wasn't an issue in most cases.

As for times/dates when to play games, I think it will depend on the individuals that are interested. It might also be an idea to let others know what tag you use on these systems or create a new one for when your playing people from the forum.

Let us know any ideas you have on what you all think is the best way to sort it ;)

Hi Preacher Man

I had a quick look at the Europe servers late last night and there were 600+ on XBC and 400+ on Kai.

There are a few good games that this method of online play doesn't support unfortunately including a few I like. If the games have system link they will work.. or that's the way it used to be.

Sport games seem to be very quiet on these servers. I usually set a game of Links up but if the guys I normally play against are not online..There's never any takers as they are all playing bloody halo!! lol

I think that there are pages on each of the servers websites that list all the games, If I think on i'll grab a list and add it to this thread.
