Good idea? wibbles 09-12-2005, 14:33 This just reminds me of Alan Partridge anyone for Monkey Tennis? Phanerothyme 09-12-2005, 14:48 cats are stupid. Mine will happily watch the oscilloscope for half an hour. Mind you it's a bit more taxing than the "I'm desperate, give me some publicity" type gameshows. parcher 09-12-2005, 14:53 Mine are quite intelligent - they love the Wild life programmes, particularly the ones about the life of birds! Of course they are also quite partial to watching the washing machine too! Its better that 'Wife Swap' and 'how clean is your frigging house' medusa 09-12-2005, 16:33 One of mine has a really impressive strop when she watches a wildlife programme with flocks of birds on and goes behind the TV to get a better look at them, and then realises that they're only inside the box where she can't get at them. My first cat used to ignore all TV apart from the British Touring Car Championship coverage, which she was absolutely riveted by, but then she was the cat who would wash the speakers whenever Paganini violin concertos were playing. I reckon the cat was showing good taste in music :) . medusa 09-12-2005, 16:49 Actually I think it was linked in to her being a mummy- she went into 'crusading mother cat' mode whenever there was anything with quite high frequencies, nuzzling, purring and washing in a big frenzy. Paganini has quite a lot of harmonics and really high stuff, so she could have been trying to mother the speakers. I never said she was the most intelligent of cats. |
