In your dreams!!! :D Andy 09-12-2005, 14:58 You do not have to report stolen dust bins to the Police. Unless you really want to. :suspect: Be sure to ask for CID. P.S. If you can't be bothered with all the messing about, why not just steal a bin from your neighbour? There must be a neighbour you don't like very much ;) benclements2 09-12-2005, 14:58 Originally posted by cgksheff In your dreams!!! :D For what use they are I should have said! samsmum 09-12-2005, 19:37 someone nabbed our black bin on monday afternoon after it was emptied. i rang 2734567, pressing the option for onyx, got through to an extrmely nice lady, who when i told her what happened was very sypmathetic....ordered me a new un and it was outiside the house by wednesday afternoon. well done onyx....there are some things you can get right!   coopster1974 09-12-2005, 19:47 The chances are that neither of these bins were stolen at all. If they went on actual collection day, the chances are that the truck was a wee bit too harsh when it lifted them up and chucked the entire bin in the back of the lorry. This happened to me whilst I was watching last year. The binman just shrugged his shoulders and advised me to ring Onyx. roughy101 09-12-2005, 20:37 Originally posted by benclements2 If it has been stolen then you may have to report it as stolen with the police. Plain Talker 09-12-2005, 22:40 Have you tried the other thread about lost/ stolen wheelie bins? or the search-site button? 0114 2734567, option 1 for onyx.... simple PT Andy 10-12-2005, 02:21 Originally posted by roughy101 this could be sound advice, there is so much about identity theft, better to be be safe than sorry:thumbsup: But what do you expect the police to do? If you're worried about identity theft you need to consider CIFAS. But you'll have to search google or PM me for more information about that. sheffieldten 10-12-2005, 02:40 (Hope this isn't too far off topic) Anyone know why my neighbours have put their blue bins out for Monday on Friday evening? Rowdy people tend to push them over and make a mess of the pavement. samsmum 10-12-2005, 20:31 [QUOTE]Originally posted by coopster1974 [B]The chances are that neither of these bins were stolen at all. Zimily 10-12-2005, 21:23 I've had my bin stolen many a time and I just phoned the council on 0114 2726444 and asked to be put through to the waste collection department where you can report it. I now have the problem that the dustbin men just won't empty my bin, they keep missing it when it's clearly out on the street! newusername 10-12-2005, 22:23 Originally posted by coopster1974 The chances are that neither of these bins were stolen at all.
