If you get a chance this Christmas take a bit of time out and think about an elderly neighbour. The weather is so cold and even just picking up some shopping and a friendly chat will make a big difference to some people.
It can be a lonely time of year for many of our elderly and some folk have no one. My neighbour suffers with Her joints in this weather and is really grateful for any help she recieves.

Good idea
Just a point, it can also be a lonely time for us 'young uns' too :(
I have been dishing out Christmas Cheer by giving my shopping list ''to'' my elderly neighbour!!!
I am busy working with 3 kids in tow and naturally as my neighbours are retired with time on their hands they like to help me out!!
It makes them feel ''worthy'' to be part of my Christmas!!
Bless 'em!!
PS I always get them a tin of biscuits and a bottle of port for their stockings!!
:D

Are you really as patronising as you sound? Surely not!
If I were you, I'd be hoping that none of them read this forum... If they do, you may wake up on Xmas morning to find that 'Santa' has left a soggy mess in your hallway, comprised of a mixture of biscuit crumbs and port!
