Due too not fishing for many a year,I'm not clear at this time of year where we are permitted to fish. I I'm hoping to fish the Fossdyke near Torskey 17th April onwards,are we allowed? Was told to fish the River Till,but been informed that is not allowed until June due this being a River. Thanks.

try contacting the environment agency. they will inform you if the fossdyke is classed as a canal or river. even if it is a canal, local bye laws may enforce a close season. stick to stillwaters until 16th june to be on the safe side.
