Bouncing into the second weekend in April and Spring has definitely sprung on our dancefloor. Saturday the 9th sees a beast of a line-up put together that showcases the best in basslines, dirty beats and the hottest and freshest producers of the moment. AC SLATER, JOKER and MUMDANCE are joined by DRUMS OF DEATH. Good grief....

Trouble & Bass is a very very hot label, and AC SLATER is one the best artists to grace it’s roster. Old school rave clashes head on with sharp house beats and stomach churning basslines. AC’s tracks can be frequently heard in DJ sets from a plethora of top stars including Armand van Helden, Crookers, Diplo and Laidback Luke. He played alongside the Plumps last time and gave them a damn good run for their money so excitement levels are once again high at Plug towers, this is one man we can’t wait to hear tear the dancefloor up again.

We're also very happy to welcome back, for a third time, the mighty DRUMS OF DEATH. The Glasgow producer is big news. His Got Yr Thing track and Hot Chip’s One Life Stand remix launched him into many a clubber's world, and his latest remix of Kele's On The Lam has furthered his rep as a producer and remixer of the highest order. Everyone from Erol Alkan to 2ManyDJs and Felix Da Housecat have been hammering his tunes and sending clubbers into aural heaven. Big drums (obviously), big basslines and plenty of acid wobbles all blend together to send the floor wild. He's also quite the showman on stage so this is no normal boring heads down laptop PA. Let the madness commence.

MUMDANCE also returns to Shuffle having played for us last time as part of the Diplo night last year. Expect more proper skills from the boy as he’s known for live edits, loops and effects, as well as spanning almost every electronic genre in a set. Expect garage, bassline, grime, electro, fidget, niche, dubstep, funky, minimal, techno, house and jungle all effortlessly mixed together like a delicious musical smoothie. Very tasty indeed.

Finally we have a debut for our headliner JOKER. A big man on the dusbtep scene this guy is very hot property. Remixes of Professor Green and Gorillaz have shown what he can do in the studio and have enabled him to cross over from the underground dubstep clubs into the bigger mainstream. Expect rib shaking sub bass and crisp beats in a DJ set that's going to round this monster of an evening off nicely.

The Live room it’s FLOORFILLERS bringing its Saturday night magic into the venue for more weekend escapism.Ollie Hayes (Hallam FM) needs no introduction - at Shuffle he will be dropping the biggest dance anthems selected from the best years of your life, mashed up to the bangers of now:

Dizzee meets Pendulum, Deadmau5 rubs up to David Guetta, whilst Calvin breaks down into Faithless, Darude and the Prodigy.

In earth we have the rapidly expanding RnB sessions with Becky Hayes & LJ Freeman, expect evertything from the old school vibes of Black Street and R Kelly to modern day grooves from Labyrinth to Gyptian to Nicki Minaj.
