Just noticed the ticker bar and it says "having problems find a christmas pressie, have a look a this users suggestion"
Mmm. I have decided I don't like being called a user, sounds slightly seedy and needy.
Hark back to the net addicts thread and the 'users' who cant switch off. :D

Y'know Fox - you are just way too touchy at times.
Anyone who uses anything is a user.
Having said that - I thought this thread was about drugs ;)

Very interesting.....
Perhaps the title of this thread is a sort-of Rorshach test - what you see in it gives insights into your personality??? :suspect:
When I first heard it, I thought it referred to drug use, then I thought it could be about relating to other people - asking us to 'fess up if we don't tend to treat others very well.
Fox20thc is right - 'User' is actually quite an unpleasant word - do any of us like to think of ourselves as 'users'?

Same here Starsparkle and I'm the person with very 'square' views about drug use!
I like to think of myself as a 'member' of Sheffield Forum - not a user. I'm a member because I contribute something to the community [hopefully].

I'm a member ... Yay! I'm an ex user of cigarettes. Yay again. I'm not a user of anything except the telephone and mobile - LOL
Got to go. I am being summonsed.

'forummer' seems a natural neologism.
