Don't get upset with me gazza, but this isn't sheffield related mate.

and as for scoobies, if you want to be known as a scooby owner then get one, but for the price you could find something that doesn't label you as a 20 year old boy racer thats buying a 4wd for no reason other than that it comes with gold coloured hub-caps

but then, whatevar.

Im a Subaru Impreza enthusiast myself.

If you do want to get an Impreza then be prepared to spend a lot of money.

Reliability wise Subarus are as good as they come, but if and when things do go wrong it can sometimes be pretty costly. And im sure you know that putting petrol into an impreza is like putting it into a black hole. It doesnt last long at all.

Astra VXRs look awesome - just dont try reversing in one - the visibility is awful.

My Dad had a Subaru Impreza WRX Turbo and loved it to pieces, it wasn't as pricey for parts as you'd think unlike the Mitsi's. Great in snow and fantastic fun to drive. For the money there isn't really anything that can touch them.

No value for money and a target for other creatures of the night

When I was younger I would have given my right arm for a motor such as an Impreza but could never afford the insurance.
Now I am in the 55 plus bracket insurance is no longer a problem, but i no longer yearn for such a car. Life is most unfair!!
BTW how much do you young guys pay to insure motors like these?

I have hit 25 so its pretty cheap for me now (not as cheap as it would be for you, but you know what I mean)

I was paying £1600 per year on my last Impreza, that was only FPTF though, fully comp was a hell of a lot more.

Thats a rip off mate. Ive got a mate who is 17 and he has got a Camel GTI Turbo with 2 humps and pays £12.65 per annum.

Try Camels R Us Insurance for some decent quotes
