Come and join us for a charity clothes swapping event in aid of the Young Women's Housing Project!
A great way to bag yourself a new wardrobe while raising money for an awesome cause!
Dig deep into the back of your wardrobe for those treasures you no longer or have never worn, and swap them for other beauties that have been donated. All it takes is £4 and a few of your unwanted items of clothing or accessories to get involved.
There has never been a better incentive to clear out your wardrobe, helping to raise money for a well deserving cause! Come along to the event at The Harley on April 5th and fill the empty space you’ve made in your wardrobe with some lovely new trinkets and treasures that other people have donated. It’s that simple!
The Harley will be providing us with some chilled out tunes and putting on some extra special cakes and cocktails, designed especially for the event, with a cut of the proceeds going to YWHP.
There will also be a raffle with some amazing prizes kindly donated by local fashion retailers including Bang Bang Vintage, Cow, Freshmans, Syd + Mallory and many more.
All of the money from the tickets, raffle and donations on the day will go straight to YWHP, so please help us to raise as much money and awareness as possible for this vital project in our city.
How can I take part?
1) From now till April 4th, please drop off any donations of unwanted clothes and accessories that are clean and in good condition at one of our collection points. Please make sure to label your bag/box/hangers with your name so that we can correctly allocate you with the correct clothes swap tokens to be given at the event.
Collection Points:
• The Enterprise Zone at the University of Sheffield (Next to St George’s Church)
• 7 Roslin Road (Off Crookesmore Road), Broomhill, S10 1FA
Please remember to bring £4 along with your donation to buy your event ticket!
2) We will then sort the donations into different categories, and work out what tokens you should have on the day to swap for your new clothes. The more clothes you donate, the more tokens you will have to exchange on the day!
Any excess clothes left over after the event will be auctioned on Ebay, all proceeds going to YWHP!
We want to raise as much money and awareness as possible of the Young Women’s Housing Project. This is an amazing local charity that provides homes and flats right across Sheffield for women aged 16-25 who have been affected by sexual abuse. The charity is facing large government cuts in funding this year so it is really important that we raise as much money as we can for this amazing cause.
Although the clothes swap part of the event is just for women EVERYONE is welcome to just come to the event to chill out, stuff your face with yummy cakes and cocktails and support an amazing cause.
