Johnh 02-12-2005, 15:32 My in car navigator sometimes gets it wrong, especially when she has a headache! mattis2k 02-12-2005, 17:04 I've got TomTom and its spot on...only problem is the screen aint that big so when two roads a close its easy to take the wrong one.. Works very well though it doesn't seem to know which roads around Sheffield have been made no entry years ago. If you have a big enough memory card in the phone you can store european maps on it too...very useful i found in Denmark recently. It might not be perfect but it sure as hell beats stopping every few minutes to look at a map. RE the screen size, it gives verbal instructions too ya know :suspect: Chris pattricia 02-12-2005, 22:25 Originally posted by poppins Friend of mine has a navigator in her new car, she say's it's , i wondered how accurate they are. Quite accurate. They are the latest craze over here, but car thieves love them !!!!:D DragonofAna 03-12-2005, 08:58 I used to but then she left me. Dragon daz1976 03-12-2005, 09:15 i have a navman and work as a driver,it is the best thing ive bought in ages sTaGeWaLkEr 14-12-2005, 09:05 I just bought Tom Tom 300 a few weeks ago. I do alot of mileage - and i've found it to be invaluable...It's been incredibly accurate too. The new 'ONE' is pretty much the same - but is alot cheaper at around £250-00 medusa 14-12-2005, 09:31 Ex-hubby runs navman on his laptop in the truck, and he thinks it's the best thing since since sliced bread. He used to have to carry 2 suitcases of maps with him because he goes all over Europe/Balkans/Scandinavia, and now he only has to carry maps for Russia and Romania/Bulgaria, as navman don't do software for there yet. But he doesn't even bother to carry the maps for the rest of Europe any more and reckons that the satnav saves him several hous a week of route planning. |
