Hi all,

The following is a press release from SYPTE. As far as I know the electronic Journey Planner won't be reflecting teh data for a few days yet.

Joe

The Transport Executive would like to remind passengers that there will be changes to bus, train and tram timetables over the Christmas period.

Leaflets listing public transport information over the festive period are available from all the Travel Information Centres (TICs). Alternatively passengers can call the Transport Executive’s Traveline on 01709 51 51 51 or visit www.sypte.co.uk/journeyplanner.

Over Christmas, Traveline will be open everyday except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. There will also be reduced opening times on the following days: Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, where it will close at 1900 and on Boxing Day the operating hours will be 0900 to 1600.

All Transport Executive TICs will follow normal opening times with the following exceptions – they will close at 1700 on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and be closed all day on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Monday 2 January 2006.

Staff at Traveline and TICs are able to offer full timetable information for buses, trains and trams however specific times of last buses and trams on the Eves will not be available until early in December.

Over the Christmas and New Year period Senior Citizens passes (including SeniorMaster) and Off-Peak TravelMaster tickets will be valid for travel all day from Tuesday 27 December 2005 to Monday 2 January 2006 inclusive on buses, trams and Northern trains.
