Hi all, does anyone know any reliable shops I can get my grand-daughters DS to for a quote. A couple would be nice, just so I can compare prices and diagnoses?

If its under 12 months old the best people to contact are Nintendo themselves. My eldest's DS (the chunky one that took gameboy cartridges) would not 'sync' - touch screen sync - and it was over 12 months old at the time - Nintendo provided a paid for label by e-mail and came back repaired with no charge. Was some time ago so cannot guarantee Nintendo will be as helpful in this economic downturn times but I may be wrong.

I don't know how old it is exactly but it is older than 12 months. I'll contact them and see what they say. You don't ask, you don't get :D
