Well recently I've been listening to this album again and remembering how good it is.

What are your opinions of this album? How does it compare to Muse's later albums?

I can't wait for the new 'Absolution' DVD now that I have re-discovered my love for this band.

MUSE rock! All of their albums are amazing, and I cannot think of one track that I don't love.

I'm constantly amazed by how small and spotty the lead singer is...has a cunning teenager infiltrated rock masquerading as an adult?

Or is he just a short, spotty herbert?:hihi:

He is a self confessed sci-fi geek, so needs to be short and spotty to fit in! :)

They always sound too over the top for my tastes like 'Queen gone wrong'. Rather akin to a twelve year old girl showing off. She may be talented but we all know that what she really needs is a good pasting! In fact, it's rock music for puffs.IMO;)

Your opinion and you're entitled to it  (yer git! ;) )

I'm just blown away by this album though, hence why I've changed my avatar. It ranks up with some of the best debut albums around.

I don't think Showbiz was quite consistent enough - tailed off towards the end and Falling Down sounds somewhat out of place, but you can hear the huuge potential in there.
OOS and other songs written around that time fulfilled the potential I originally heard :)

Have you heard the Showbiz 'B' sides? A lot of very high quality tracks in there. In fact, if you want to start by listening to two particularly good 'B' sides on the same CD then just look for my avatar
