Hi, My son Bryan lives in Sheffield and is getting married on Tuesday 30th of March, he had a hall booked but he now informed me that it's been double booked and he has nowhere for the reception.
He has only been in Sheffield for a short while and doesn't know where he can get a reasonably priced hall at such short notice because he is on a tight budget. Can anyone help with information about a room or hall preferably with catering and a bar somewhere around the train station, I know it's asking a lot but you seem to be a resourceful bunch on here (fawn, fawn), Any help would be much appreciated.

If you give us an idea on space required (number of guests to attend the reception) and the total budget then we may be able to offer some info on rooms available.

What sort of establishment is your looking for?
Would he be interested in a pub venue, or a fancy stately home perhaps?

About 30 guests, I was thinking a pub back room if possible.
He hasn't got much money so about £10, we will help him with the cost but he wants to keep it down as much as he can.

Well for about £50 he can hire the Noose and Gibbet (next to Centertainment) - at attercliffe.

Nice pub.

Not sure about any other venues. I'm sure some places will do it for free!

Where in Sheffield (area) does he live or does he want the reception to be!

If he wants a room for nowt, go for The Office at Upperthorpe, it's behind the big Safeway on Infirmary Road.

All he'd need to pay for is to provide the grub.

If possible he wants somewhere near Parkhill or the train station.
