I've worked in female orientated jobs most if not all of my working life.
Underwent a huge career change 2 years ago & now work with 98% male workforce.

The bitchin ain't gone just changed tack.

I'm adding a poll to help annoy the wimmins :hihi:

spend any length of time with male musicians, especially on a scene as 'musically incestuous' as Sheffield, and you will hear some proper bitching whenever 2 or more are gathered in one place.

Forget bravado, this is an extremely interesting question for anyone interested in gender and the gender debate. I'll be following this with great interest particularly if it does anything to dispel the myth that men dont bitch or gossip.

Without wishing to put the cat amongst the pigeons I suspect that what might be the case is that in order to conceal the extent to which men bitch and gossip it's easier to point the finger at women. :)

Men in the majority of workplaces are mixing with women more and more. I have noticed they are usually the first to bitch about something.

They are also the first to moan they have a relationship problem, and call in sick because of said relationship 'issue' eg: girlfriend threw a dish at them and they have a black eye.

Women bitch about the little things and its forgotten in a minute, men take it too seriously and think if they bitch and moan at a woman it makes it more valid.

I saw a girl crying at work today, asked her what was wrong, she moaned and told me her problems had a bitch then said thanks for that I feel much better and went back into the office with a smile on her face. Guys tend to drag it out. IMOH

i used to work in an all female office (bar a couple of gay temps every so often) and it was awfully!!! cliquey, bitchy, back stabbing, jealous- the list goes on.

now i work in a mainly male office- guess what....its exactly the same! lol

you fellas will never admit it- but you really are just as bad!

I'll be the first to admit that girls are really bitchy, but spend about 10 minutes with my brother and his friends and they're JUST as bad. I expected them to start doing each other's hair and giving pedicures.

It's a sterotype that some people feel they have to conform to.

You can't generalise on this as bitchy behavior comes from both sexes.

The men I know are worse than the women. I find that men are more likely to bitch and then deny it, whereas women will usually admit to having said it.

I find men that are SHORT can get a little nasty at times, they seem to have "short man syndrome".

ever noticed short policemen ? they seem to enjoy giving out tickets, makes them feel BIG .

ahhhh to hell with it,................girls are by far the bitchiest, look up at the poll, clearly not in the minority.........just got the balls to say it.

They are clever about it too, they get their friends to hate the same people they hate.

also men are upfront about our bitchiness which is much less bitchy than being secretive about it, thats why you see men being bitchy.

However without intending to contradict myself, If gay men was an option in the poll, these would be the bitchiest group for me
