Hi, looking from what you say you are eating it is no where near enough. You really need to up your protein levels especially if you are working out at the gym. I myself follow a very low calorie diet and have just started to increase protein intake which does keep you fuller for longer and also stops your body from raiding its muscle stores after a workout. Try having some porridge for breakfast, its lovely and releases energy slowly. My secret weapon for sweet cravings are options drinks hmmm yummy, oh and muller lite yogurts. Hope this helps

I gave up refined sugar, wheat, anything processed and alcohol 4 weeks ago. I eat anything that used to walk, fly, swim, or grow and have some amazing tasty meals! However, for the first 4 days I couldn't get the sugar craving out of my head and you are right, it felt like the smoking niggle. I carried on with it and now I don't feel for sugar at all. I think the trick is to think 'If I have some sugar I will be doing my body no good', and try your hardest to forget about the craving. Natural sugars from fruits are okay for you and I found blueberries and raspberries to be a saviour! Also if you are absolutely dying for some kind of sweet sugary thing try Stavia, it is a thousand times more sweet than sugar and is natural, you can buy it in health shops.

Try and carry on though as when you have gotten over the first cravings it does become easier, also I can tell now which fruits and veg are very sweet when before I think refined sugar was killing a lot of my taste buds.

Also if you eat right then you shouldn't ever feel like snacking. I have a balanced meal of proteins veggies and good fats, all natural foods though and I stick to the rule of if it hasn't lived then don't eat it. I try and choose organic where I can also. This does work as I have lost 1.5 stones and still shrinking, plus my dark circles under my eyes have lightened, I have more energy I am sleeping better and I don't have a horrid taste in my mouth in the mornings.

As the above poster said you arn't eating enough there, and if you have fruit your body will give you a hit of sugars straight away, only eat fruit if you have first had some protein or fats like a handful of nuts or a slice of chicken, this will then start digesting and your body will slowly digest the sugar fruit and release it slowly. Also stay away from Iceburg lettuce as it is just green water with hardly any nutrional value at all and no pasta ever, except for wheat free pasta you can buy it in Tesco. Wheat depletes your vitamin B and others vits and minerals so there is no point in eating it.

IMO of course, I have only studied nutrition for 2 years: said because I advised someone of here yesterday and some numpty jumped on me saying I was wrong......

You certainly aren't eating enough. Dropping carbohydrates is the usual way to induce weight loss but you've gone rather OTT. Carbs are your energy foods and you appear to be have zero carbs other than fruit sugar during the day so it's quite normal for your energy levels to drop and your cravings to increase. It's all about balance. You need a balance of quality protein, healthy fats and "good" carbs. If you go on to our website there's a section called "Dump the diets", this will give you some tips. Just for the record,we've been in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years. We're personal trainers and sports nutritionists , so we've come across your problem umpteen times and we know what works. Well done on your current weight loss and hang on in there.
