View Full Version : Thoresby Market anyone?
Miss_S_83 20-03-2011, 07:09 Is it open today or has the season not re-started? Checked the Car Boot Megathread but says 21st March ( as info copied from last year presumably) and the website gives no info. Have asked there but thought I'd ask here too as if it is and the heavens don't open up I might set off soon.
Thanks.
toploader 20-03-2011, 07:27 Don't set off.
You'll be a week early.
Miss_S_83 20-03-2011, 07:31 Haha.... thank you :)
Leah-Lacie 20-03-2011, 07:42 Haha last time i went there, on way back from skeggy a few years ago, the car got broken into, easy to pop the lock on an old pug 106. A few saxos got done too. They took everything, from keys to a coat to a bar of choc.
Ironically, all i went for was a steering lock :hihi:

Bloke selling dodgy meat from the back of a lorry in the middle of summer when the air is full of dust and god knows what …………… lovely day out though.
The only good thing about Thoresby market was knock-off CD`s and DVD`s and they were thrown off site long ago.

Does anyone know how much it costs for a pitch at thoresby market?
louisbourg 27-06-2011, 09:14 sorry i don't but i went for the first time in a couple of years yesterday and couldn't believe how quick we got round it all , it's really a lot smaller than it used to be and not busy at asll , to say it was 12ish :(
Ms Macbeth 27-06-2011, 09:22 Merged threads
Yes it is well smaller than it used to be! I think some of it seems to be the stall owners being a lot fussier than they used to be and if it looks like bad weather they dont turn up. Only prob with this is that if people go and there is hardly any stalls then they dont go again, Bit of a visious circle really which will only lead to it getting worse. Wouldn't be so bad if you didnt have to pay to go! I notice that hasn't reduced in price!
