Has anyone been for a meal here (particularly on a Sunday afternoon). Ive arranged to take my parents out for Sunday lunch next week and I was wandering where to go. Also are there any other nice places around the Crookes/ Broomhill/ Ranmoor area?

Never been there. I take it you're looking for the traditional Sunday lunch kind of thing?
Personally I'd see it as an opportunity to make my parents a bit more cosmopolitan. Take 'em to Spinrocks on Crookes or something.
If not there's a pub on Manchester Road (the Sportsman I think) where I had lunch on New Year's day that was pretty good. Real fire and all that.
Never been to the Rutland for Sunday lunch but it is ok from what other people have said. If you are going down that way why not have a wander in the Botanical gardens and poss go in the curators house.
They do a carvery at the Crosspool Tavern and the Grindstone in Crookes does one til 7pm so you don't have to have it early.
If you have transport i would suggest goin down to the Robin Hood in Stannington as i went last weekend and it was excellent food, though i do believe you would have to book.
