Microsoft couldn't keep up with demand and that combined with a almost simultaneous release in the USA, Europe and Asia they are pretty rare and most shops have run out.

Apparently and I’ve not checked this but some Xbox 360's are now selling for $1,500 on ebay!

Ive just checked. There is a Xbox 360 currently at $700 but you can Buy it Now for a snip at $1,700.

they always understock, sony and nintendo do the same.

the less there is the more people will pay, and the more interest you get in the product.

Oh well, I decided to get a Core pack plus a couple of games and buy a hard drive and the DVD remote with my Christmas money in the sales.

As I couldn't think of any current gen Xbox games I wanted so I thought rather than not have anything to open on Sunday I'd go for the Core pack and upgrade after Christmas with the hard drive etc.

Yes I am aware that at my age I'm a bit old to be worrying about whether I've got something to open, but I'm funny like that so yeh.

Anyone still wanting an Xbox 360 - they have them in stock in Dixons at Meadowhall but only the core system. If you tell them you want one they'll say that they can only sell them with 3 games for £369.99. Point out that there is a £209.99 price tag on the shelf for the core system and you'll get one if they have any left. They didn't seem best pleased about it but there you go :)

After that go down to HMV where the games are £45 instead of £50 :D
