Recently moved to Sheffield and looking for a good standard 11 aside football team for the weekend either saturday or sunday. Play right/left midfield or full back predominantly, although have played in pretty much all other positions. Have played to a good standard for my town, district and university. Any help would be appreciated.

I could well be interested, but I'm a bit pap at the moment as having only just recovered from an ankle injury. Fitness is going to be bit of an issue, so if it's possible to just do the training with a view to playing a bit further down the line then that would be grand.

Your more than welcome to attend, gives yourself time to gel with the squad and like you said build up your fitness. I'm planning a tough pre season so everyone will be ready for the start of the campaign.
Take things week by week and see how you get on.

Saturdays or Sundays? and whast the league?

Thanks for the interest lads.

Ideally i would like to play in the SDFPL, which is a Saturday morning kick off. This depends on how quick I can get together a full squad as there is a lot more preperation involved, arranging friendlies with exsisting teams in the SDFPL etc.
Failing that then the Sheffield Imperial League who play Sunday mornings, with a view to changing to the SDFPL at the end of the season.

Brampton TU of the RDSFL Division 1 are looking to strengthen there squad next season.

We train every thursday at the SUFC academy (8.45 - 10.00pm)

Play our home games on our private Pitch at Toad Lane, Brampton en le morthen, and have full backing of a working mens club at Thurcroft, meaning subs are probably one of the cheapest in any local sunday league!

We have had the luxury of playing at Bramall Lane and Hillsborough as an end of season treat too, so the club comes with a bit of a good reputation.

Lost 3-1 , we only had 10 men for first 35mins to start with,

To be onest thats been our problem this season we got too many players that have to work shifts/sundays so we cant get full teams out every sunday!

i hope so , when we first came into imperial thats where we should have started anyways m8, they put us in 2nd for some reason:(

New Bohemians will be looking for players for the 2011 / 2012 season, and all players welcome for pre-season training, which will start in June.

We will have 2 mens teams next season ( 1st team in County Senior League, and 2nd Team in South Yorkshire Amateur, both Saturday afternoon).

Therefore we need players of a very good standard for the 1st team, and players who want to improve, get back into football, etc for the 2nd team.
Players will move between the 2 sides depending on players performance, attendance etc.

We are a club moving forward, as we will be applying for Charter Standard within the next 12 months, as we are also creating a Junior side over the summer.

If you struggle to get entry into another league, please feel free to enter the Flexi Footie League, the County FA runs it out of Hillsborough College and Goodwin Sports Centre. The games are only played fortnightly and the league is designed to help players either get into football or get back into football.

The team will be called Players Lounge Athletic which will be run from the Players Lounge Sports Bar in Ecclesfield, Sheffield.
We have registered the team into The Blades Super Draw League which is a decent standard.

I've played for Langsett fc for over ten years who eventually changed their name to Burgoyne Arms to Trickshots then finally to Fletchers before they moved to the Meadowhall league and changed their name to Grenoside Club.

Hi all,

As the title says I am wanting players for next season 2011/12 for a new adult sunday league 11 a side team.
Our team is brand new but I already have some interest from some players wanting to play for our team.
I am looking for all positions from keepers all the way through to the strikers.
The team will be called Players Lounge Athletic which will be run from the Players Lounge Sports Bar in Ecclesfield, Sheffield.
We have registered the team into The Blades Super Draw League which is a decent standard.

AFC Dynamo are currently looking to strengthen their squad for next season and are holding trials for players in all positions after a very successful season in the first division of the Sheffield and District Fair Play League. This league is one of the premier leagues in Sheffield with 10.30am kick off times each Saturday. AFC Dynamo have reached the SDFPL Cup Final which will be held at Bramall Lane this coming Saturday (14th May 2011, 12 noon kick off).

New players wishing to attend a trial should be of very high standard and possess exceptional fitness in order to be able to challenge our existing high calibre players for a place in the squad.

The club plays home fixtures at Eckington in the south of Sheffield which boasts excellent facilities for both players and spectators. Other playing facilities within the league also consist of some of the best facilities in the region. Training is conducted on Wednesday evenings.
