Does anyone have any ideas as to why I can't use my interenet after 3pm? it turns to the yellow arrows and won't connect and if it does it kicks me off and i get a message saying its missing the ip address or a local area connection is unplugged i have looked and its all connected up.

Do you think its AOL or my computer?

Yes everyday at 3 it looses it. AOL said it was because we changed our phone number but we informed them and they changed it but it still does it. we also can't receive some e-mails. Any ideas as to who could repair the problem?

Seeing that, it seems like AOL are to blame, follow this up, contact them again, explain in detail, give them the exact dialog from any messages you recieve on screen

It seems it is when they are maybe 'switching' something, at that time, but im no techie so i've really not that much of an idea

If they are awkward then you should just mention about going with another service provider, that usually works :heyhey: :hihi:

Ugh, AOL = worst ISP ever.

Bin them and go with someone GOOD, such as Plusnet et al.

Could it be interference on your line ? Classic source of problem is central heating coming on for example. Others are Xmas lights, street lights etc.

The problem started when we got sky+ but we have all the filters on the phone lines. AOL are no help(unfortunatly i signed up for the year!), think i'll get someone to look at my pc and take it from there.
