seems like everyone outside is hammering their car horns non stop, and have been doing for at least 5 minutes.. any idea why?

well, that's just typical - it seems to have stopped now, to be replaced by the more familiar sound of police sirens..

You don't think that perhaps it might have been due to Plain-Talker ordering several taxis, to make sure at least one turned up? ... Maybe? ;)
