What a beatifull song and a must for any little boy at Christmas. cgksheff 27-11-2005, 11:10 http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?postid=710660#post710660 Use the link to watch the video. My sprogs can't get enough of it! dieselbabe 27-11-2005, 11:27 My daughter and her friends sing it all the time.I had not hear this till i hear it on that nickelodeon kids chanel other day and it is always on now.Not a bad little tune but kids like it. PuressenceUK 27-11-2005, 17:13 Great little tune - downloaded it expecting it to be for kids, like Bob The Builder. Instead you get a heartfelt lyric about how the singer felt when younget getting rides in his dad's JCB. For some reasons the lyrics (references to Mr.T, Transformers) evoke memories of beng small all over again. Yes kids will like the video, but not a kids song. This would be my choice for Xmas No.1, over X-Factor or G4 anyday. Who knows, could be worth a cheeky bet - I mean this time last year how many people thought Mad World would get to number 1? Rich 27-11-2005, 17:34 Is Sir Cliff doing a Christmassy song this year? He usually does. Yes, I admit it.. I'm a Cliff fan... I inherited it off Mum. watusi 27-11-2005, 18:23 I live in fear of Chico being number 1 diamond 5 27-11-2005, 18:27 i think chico too or peter and jordan:D Ousetunes 28-11-2005, 07:44 Originally posted by Rich Is Sir Cliff doing a Christmassy song this year? You might even jump for joy to learn it's a re-recording of a Cliff classic, Miss You Nights. You may start to foam at the mouth when I tell you it's not only Cliff, but those hosed-down operatic X-Factorites, G4 who are singing with him. As for the rest of us, shall we start to slicing our ears and eyes now? samc 28-11-2005, 10:22 Oh I like Miss You Nights by Cliffy Pops. Though don't like G4. Thought they were doing a ditty with the bust escaping Lesley Garratt? Maybe that was a bad dream. Well I like the Ciffy option when the other options are Chicco Time or Peter and Jordan. Though I do like the JCB song and video so perhaps that one for Christmas. venger 28-11-2005, 10:27 Oh Joy/or not, Christmas on it's way again. As for the number one, or number 15.... Will do my best to avoid all of that derge. Sorry if you were expecting cheerie. Xmas sux ! Boy_In_A_Box 28-11-2005, 11:30 People do actually know what the lyrics are actually about don't they? I doubt 'bob the builder' sings about how he was bullied in school by teachers bullies and teachers pets. JCBSong.co.uk has an in-depth look into the lyrics of the song, if you read it i'm sure you'll understand it a lot better than you seem to now. Not meaning to sound aggresive but the lyrics touch places very close to my heart. BIAB Clare85 28-11-2005, 12:21 I don't like the jcb song. I heard girls aloud new one the other day....more rubbish! Bic0 28-11-2005, 12:27 Part of original post by Boy_In_A_Box Not meaning to sound aggresive but the lyrics touch places very close to my heart. Unfortunately, the music and the singing touch places very close to my pain-threshold! Judging from the praise of the lyrics seen on here so far, perhaps it might sell better as a poem? ... It'd certainly be helping to spread the Xmas-spirit and in addition, being kinder to music-lovers if it were prose-only! ;) ianbrownfan 28-11-2005, 14:04 it's always some rubbish novelty song....no doubt Chico yeah! :gag: slimsid2000 28-11-2005, 15:30 Charles and Camilla - 'My D.I.V.O.R.C.E':hihi: :hihi: D2J 28-11-2005, 18:16 Originally posted by Rich Yes, I admit it.. Just cos I bought one of their singles last year, which wasn't even THEIR single really it was a cover version of somebody else's work.... :P I was never a fan of Boyzone either so you can shurrup on that score an' all :P ToryCynic 28-11-2005, 21:32 Originally posted by D2J clash I'll pop one of their CDs on... :) Beakerzoid 28-11-2005, 22:36 Originally posted by Rich Is Sir Cliff doing a Christmassy song this year? It touches many levels including the innocent. All my son will hear is about a boy and his dad in a JCB. I hear the other levels but I don't need to explain these to my son. I'm sure it touches many. The rest of her music taste, yep, I'm fine with...but Cliff? Does your Mum like Celine Dion? :gag: My Mum also likes these Opera singers like Russell Watson, Katherine Jenkins et al.. Some of their songs are OK I s'pose, like the one Russell Watson did as the theme tune to Star Trek Enterprise. slimsid2000 29-11-2005, 13:58 What about Charlotte church? Who likes her? I'm 5 years old and my dad's a giant sitting beside me. And the engine rattles my bum like berserk While we're singin, 'Don't forget your shovel if you want to go to work!' My dad's probably had a bloody hard day But he's been good fun and bubblin and jokin' away And the procession of cars stuck behind are gettin all impatient and angry, but we dont mind. An' we're holdin up the bypass oh Me and my dad havin a top laugh oh woah Sittin on the toolbox oh And I'm so glad I'm not in school, boss So glad I'm not in school Oh no... And we pull over to let cars past And pull off again, speedin by the summer green grass And we're like giants up here in our big yellow digger Like zoids, or transformers, or maybe even bigger And I wanna transform into a Tyrannosaurus Rex! And eat up all the bullies and the teachers and their pets And I'll tell all my mates that my dad's B.A. Baracus Only with a JCB and Bruce Lee's nunchuckas And We're holdin up the bypass oh Me and my dad havin a top laugh oh woah Sittin on the toolbox oh And I'm so glad I'm not in school, boss So glad I'm not in school And we're holdin up the bypass oh oh Me and my dad havin a top laugh oh woah I'm sittin on the toolbox oh oh And I'm so glad I'm not in school, Boss So glad I'm not in school - Said I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round in his JCB. I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round in his JCB. I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round in his JCB. I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round And we're holdin' up the bypass woah Me and my dad havin a top laugh oh woah And I'm sittin on the toolbox oh And I'm so glad I'm not in school, Boss So glad I'm not in school Aw, said I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. It was only a few months ago he swore he was never going to release any more records, because people didn't want to hear them on the radio anymore. He said he was only going to do concerts now. :gag: Mind you, even his worst song would be more exciting to listen to than any of this Pop Factor/X idol rubbish :gag: :gag: Come back Cliff, all is forgiven! ;) Macca 06-12-2005, 16:31 Take that for me. They've apparently got a previously unreleased song on their new album. Now wouldn't that be a nice end to the year for the 'fame-starved' manchester muppets. :gag: PuressenceUK 18-12-2005, 18:37 JCB Song No.1 tonight, but fear it will be knocked off next week by X-Factor s***e. koenigsinger 19-12-2005, 09:18 JCB song..... I cant stress this enough....... buy it, download it, and play it loud to anyone and everyone that you can... had me filling up the first time I heard it... the lyrics resonate for me on so many levels, and the way it's sung plucks every heartstring..... best single of 2005 by a country mile...... the_rudeboy 19-12-2005, 18:46 Originally posted by sharpsinger JCB song.....
