Ok, for the first two years once you pass your test you are allowed upto 6 points, after two years it then becomes 12 points. Is this automated ? Do I have to send anything off to the DVLA :confused:

I believe it is automated yes. If you recieve 6 points in your first two years of driving they take your license off you and you have to start again from scratch.

Have you got so many points so soon after passing your test?

I have no endorsements or points what so ever. I just wondered now that my 2 years is up whether I have do anything different but I realised its probably an automated system that recognises you are allowed to have 12 instead of 6.

It is automated, 2 years probationary period, or so I have been informed.
