Hello all!! This seems to be a very warm and fuzzy place, I think i'll come in.

Does anyone know of any acoustic open mic nights? I think its time to blow the layer of dust from my guitar.

as far as i know, the deepend at hillsborough still does "can-u-jam" (open mic) on thursday nights and perhaps still sunday afternoons too.

also the cricketers arms, bramall lane, but not sure which night!

Open Space is an open mic night at Sheff Uni.

Its on a thursday night at 7:30 at Coffee Revolution in Sheffield Uni union. Im sure its open to all!

You could give Under the Boardwalk on Snig Hill a ring..they used to have very good open mic nights on a Sunday night, not sure if they still have them.

The Nottingham House in Broomhill does an open mic night every Friday. Went to the one last night and had a chat with the sound guy 'cos I'm thinking of doing a similar thing myself, and he said all you have to do is turn up on the night with your guitar, tell him you want to play, and he'll try and give you a slot! Hope that helps

Can U Jam - which used to be at the Deep End is now moving to The Malin Bridge in and will be on Tuesdays and Sundays. Large stage, guitar, drums , bass etc...see Sheffairs post's for more details.
