Exciting talk from our local bee keeper!
Bradfield based bee keeper, Jez Daughtry will be explaining why bees are so important to him and to the world in general. In addition to providing him with a thriving livelihood and the source material for Sheffield Honey, bees are THE key component in the food chain as they pollinate the crops that feed us and our livestock and without them the world would be in very serious trouble.
Bee populations are dwindling and Jez is part of a growing network of bee keepers in the UK who have acknowledged the need to protect and nurture bee colonies – he may even be bringing some along with him so you can see up close, how fascinating and friendly they really are.
