Does anybody have any idea of the potential value of my Alice Cooper CD? (I need new carpets so assets are being liquidated)

It's a brand new unplayed copy of 'The Eyes of Alice Cooper' from last year's tour, and the insert is signed by Alice, each member of the touring backing group and also by Calico. Given to me by a nice American gentleman named Vincent, who wouldn't mind me using it to raise funds when necessary.

This is a hypothetical enquiry only. It is not in the 'For Sale' section because at present it is not for sale. I just would like to hear from other SFers who may have sold or seen for sale something similar.

Thank you.

you could have a look on ebay and see how much similar things are going for?

Thanks f_g, I have looked repeatedly on eBay, but there are no signed CDs coming up apart from the ones packaged up with a signed poster in those awful display pieces, and nothing with the autographs of the band and his daughter too.

I was just wondering as lots of stuff for the house has just been bought with the proceeds of 2 original pressing Nick Drake albums, but this seems to fall between 2 categories (CDs and ephemera) so nobody that deals in either seems to want to give me a value.

Thanks anyway.

This one finishes on e-bay tonight:

7565459423 This CD is in great shape. I had it personally hand signed by the legendary Alice Cooper in Maryland at a Sci-Fi convention. Tough to get autograph of this legend. Signed boldly in sharpie.

At the Alice Cooper concert 2 weeks ago the merchandice stand were selling signed copies of the new CD for £20 so I wouldn't expect yours to be worth much, but having said that people on e-bay quite often pay well over the odds for things. I guess they just dont like being outbid

Thanks for the replies folks. I must have missed the American eBay ones (note to self- check other countries next time too!), but it looks like I haven't got a gold mine on my hands anyway.

Maybe I'll find something else that I can sell to buy carpets instead!

Oh well- back to square one on funding for the carpets then!

(Think I'll just have to start selling ex-hubby's DVDs and computer stuff instead- anybody want to make me an offer? lol)
