I was watching It Takes Two last night and ws shocked to see Len Goodman demonstrate the cucarachus and salsa WRONG.
He released his heel on every step of the cucarachus even though weight is supposed to be transferred without lifting the foot or heel.
He then went onto demonstrate salsa with heel leads! In the salsa, like the rumba you're supposed to always lead with the balls of the feet - never the heel. If you lead with the heel not only is it technically wrong anyway but you cannot possibly straighten the leg like you could if you did ball-flat.
Ok - I know he specialises in ballroom not latin, but for goodness sake! You'd think he'd check his latin technique book before demonstrating a movement to the whole nation!
