I have just bought a load of child proof locks for my sons kitchen cabinets, they are stick on & he is worried that there not strong enough to hold & will they leave the sticky back on the cupboards when removed? i can understand this as the kitchen has only been in 3 month has anyone else used them? info please or any ideas to keep little one safe
Put their fingers in the door jam and let a door close on them..they'll never go near them again. :)

Probably easier and safer to either put a lock on the kitchen door or install a child gate. I've seen kids simply yank on cupboard doors till the child lock gives up
they are pretty rubbish to be honest, i put one on the cupboard under sink where i kept cleaning stuff and after probably 3 days moved the cleaning stuff and got used to saying NO about 80 times a day!!

I put a child lock on a kitchen cupboard door, and I can't open the damn thing now!
The sticky ones are not good as they come away to easily, sticky residue can be removed by clean art or lighter fluid.
I got some years ago that were screw fixed but was amazed at the strength and persistance of little ones :hihi:, the only full proof safe answer I came up with was to put a proper lock on, something like this http://www.fastkeys.co.uk/fks/website.nsf/frmLockDetails!ReadForm&prod=19d I also bought a spare door to replace the altered one when the time came.

I've got the ones that have to be screwed in. I got a pack of hem from pound land and they are great. Little one is 1 and very persistent and hasn't got in :)

Alien they'll be a kick up <REMOVED> when i meet you, as if i would do that to a baby. I slammed the car door on his dads fingers when he was a toddler, didnt stop him from getting back in a car
i will try poundland tomorrow & give son a choice. (then i can return about £15 of catches) thanks
and he has child 2 gates in situ
