View Full Version : Ladies ... do you like short or long hair on men?
OK ... this one's for the ladies (again) ...
Do you think guys look better with short or long hair ... or don't you have a preference !?
Discuss ........
Moon Maiden 17-02-2004, 10:38 I like guys with long hair. Generally I don't have a preference I think guys can look good with or without long locks otherwise the hubby would probably have been long gone ;)

neeeeeeeeeek 17-02-2004, 10:40 I had long hair for ages and cut it off two weeks ago... seems to have done me some good. I gad a great weekend.   :D
ummmmmm...
short for me:wow:
where's the scissors?:headbang:
I know this is for girlies but you've missed out baldy men or are they meant to be included in short hair or do you just not consider them worthy of consideration?
It's not for me, you understand, but there are some well baldies on this forum.
Classic Rock 17-02-2004, 11:06 Very long hair looks good on men as long as it's in good condition. Great for headbanging with. Give me a Samson hero any day!:headbang:

Good point max !!
Is it possible to add a 'bald men' option to the poll ?
If not ... and the girls who have a preference for baldies will just have to select 'short' ... but you can always say u like boldies in your post.
:loopy:
Well for years I preferred long hair and most my ex's had long hair :headbang: but that's the rock chick in me!
Over the last few years though, I guess I've changed to no preference since alot of my long haired mates have chopped it off and I don't mind nice groovy short cuts and skin heads now. My current partner has shaved hair, so its a good job I don't mind. I do still love long hair, its just there is not so many around now in my age group!
Moon Maiden 17-02-2004, 11:33 Baldness - are guys like Bruce Willis and he Mitchells in eastenders considered bald?
Cos they do have a a bit of hair left.
I know someone with hair like that who is extermely dishy! Saying that my real name means lover of men so I guess I just like nice guys.

I've had long hair for the best part of ten years now. There was one occasion on which I cut it and as the previous post says, I too had a good time...for a very short while.
For some reason cutting my locks made me instantly more popular with a great many people and even seemed to make me more attractive to the opposite sex.
At first this was great, but then I had to ask myself why these people hadn't had the time of day for me when I had long flowing brown hair...it occured that they were just that damn shallow that they judged me on that alone.
So I grew it back and thought **** 'em all.
Depends on the guy but long hair that's in good condition can be VERY sexy. But some guys just don't suit long hair and look nicer with short hair!
ummmmmm...
short for me
where's the scissors?
I agree with you Ying but I now have this mental picture of you as the Forum Delilah :P

Same with me, but the other way round. I went skinhead for about a year, and the opinions people have of you changes so much. Now i've got it all back, people are much friendlier to me.
Gotta say, i had long hair for years too, until i joined the navy and they shaved it off. Well preferred it long, it was less trouble than having shortish spikey hair. Would grow it back if i didn't have to go through the crap stage, where it's medium length. Oh well think i am too old for long hair now anyway.
Depends on the guy.
Sometimes really short feels fantastic to touch but it can look wrong on some and right on others, wouldn't normally do long hair thing but some poeple it really suits. Same as if it has to be played about with or just left to do it's own thing. I do like Aragons (know this is not spelt right) in lord of the rings not what i would normally go for but it looks right and it doesn't matter if uyou ruffle it.
Colour is another thing dark normally but i do like greying men for some strange reason and always have (maybe i am just weird).
Thing i don't like is men that ponce around with it all the time and use vast amounts of products to keep it just so, and have to check on it all the time and worry that it is falling out/going grey.
I went out with a guy that was obsessed with his hair, not that he had a lot left, and he spent ages doing it and checking and it did my head in.
DaBouncer 17-02-2004, 13:50 I wouldn't mind long hair again if I could get it to look like this (http://www.hollywoodjesus.com/movie/underworld/20.jpeg) but a little blonder (my hair is not that dark) without too much hassle in the 'in between' stage.
My hair gos curly if it gets too long, so I prefer to keep it short.
DB who is that?
And Sid curly can be good if it is well looked after and is soft to run you r fingers through.
Nah, I don't like it curly. Think I'll have to stop eating my crusts. :D

MMMMM...........I like!!!!!
I looooooooove medium dark hair on men... especially with the contrast of green/blue eyes
Babooshka 17-02-2004, 17:16 Just get it lopped off. Men with long hair look ridiculous!
Get rid of the facial hair whilst you are at it. YUCK!!!
Funky Dave 17-02-2004, 17:18 I had longish hair, until it started to fall out, and over the past year I've gradually had it cut shorter and ahorter until I'm skinhead. Most lasses say they prefer it that way, and It's good that I don't have to do anything with it in the morning. My brother is the complete opposite though; he has hair that's grown well below his shoulders. Must be nice.
SatanInHeels 17-02-2004, 18:30 im into long hair at the moment.. but there are a lot of guys who i would go for with short hair!! depends on the rest of the guy!
karandak 17-02-2004, 18:54 Short hair definitely, dont mind it really short, but prefer the spikes/funkyness!!
Long hair just aint my cup of tea on a guy!
*Twinkle* 17-02-2004, 20:12 Short, but not too short... Preferably the short, funky texturized look...
I just can't win with any hair style I have!
At the moment it's the longest it's ever been, it would be longer if it was straight, but when I have it short it doesn't suit me, if I have it shaved I look like a footy hooligan and in the current state I get compliments from drunks and get called a student and a farmer, I got called Leo Sayer once!!:loopy:
*Twinkle* 17-02-2004, 20:28 You'll have to find a really good stylist then Duffman!!! Someone who will give you a consultation and work your hair to look best for you... Try Julie at La Coupe next to WHS in town.
SilentStatic 17-02-2004, 21:09 My hair grows very curly so I have to keep it short. Grr, I'd love to have straight flat hair so I could grow it.
People would say im growing my hair at the moment, but in reality i just cant be bothered to get it cut
Its a right state at the moment anyway, but to be frank (paaaaat!) im not trying to impress anyone  (not that'd itd make much difference anyway! hum!)

La coupe don't like me as they were arguing with me over certain issues in town that I couldn't help them with, even though iI was trying to get someone to help them they told me I was a waste of space! so I don't think they will do anything with my hair that I would like!
I like it curly but others don't for some reason.
jackthedog 18-02-2004, 08:11 What do the girls think of unkept medium length hair?
The type that shows I cant be bothered to sort it every morning?
The type that looks the same no matter what I'm doing?
The type that was a skinhead about 5 months ago, and has had no treatment, except shampooing, since then?
Is that okay? Or would the women prefer me to do something with it and make an effort to look nice?
I like messy hair on girls, but i'm not sure many girls like it on boys.

O dear o dear! lol!!!
Yes DB i do like, he just looks right , his eyes are the right colour for his hair. Sometimes guys colour there hair and it is not right.
One person that i am not sure about which is right is Orlando Bloom is he meant to be blonde or dark looks fine both ways.
Spike from Buffy he is not supposed to be blonde he is too old but carries it off with great mischeviousness so looks right.
So it is just getting something right for you.
short spikey and funky right now ermmm but i've also had a mullet going on for a while

No need to worry about me Jamie dear they've put me back on the medication
As for mullets, think 80s, think Fun House, think Pat Sharpe. Now that was a truly exceptional mullet

yea some mullets are pat sharpe-esque only now seen in hicky deep south usa (probably) some more 'modern day' mullets as seen in me pic however are worn by fashion victims like moi!
Mosherchik 23-02-2004, 15:22 *ahem* I actually used to fancy Pat Sharpe when I was a wee lass  and it was the hair that did it. You know he won the Smash Hits best hairstyle award for summat like 2 years running :wow:
Am amazed no one has mentioned the mullet king that was Michael Bolton, that truly looked like a fox had died on his bonce! I never fancied him tho. Ick :P
