There is a NCT nearly new sale to be held at the new venue of Magna on 26th March 2011.

There is some room for new sellers. If you have some baby/childrens clothes and equiptment that are like new and would like to sell at the sale please PM me and I will pass on your details. A portion of the selling price goes to the NCT to provide services for expecting and new parents. See NCT's site for information.

A great way to have a de-clutter of your unwanted baby/childrens items

Am already signed up for the Fulwood Playgroup one for the same day .... otherwise would have been interested - are you doing two this year or just one?

Hi,

I think there are 3 sales per year. Maybe you could sell next time. Anyone who would like to volunteer to help on the day are welcome too.

Ohh - good Fulwood only doing one (which suspect will mean , like last year, that winter clothes will not sell) - will look out for the next one, thanks.

Why did the NCT move to Magna? Has it had any effect on the quantity/ quality of the goods for sale?
Can't understand the logic. Shall I pop up the road on the Saturday, or drag myself over to Rotherham twice in a morning? Hmm. Tricky one!!

The first sale at Magna has not happened yet so it is not known whether it will be more succesful.

I am sure it was very convenient for you living nearby, but the local NCT covers Sheffield and Rotherham. The Psalter Lane site was wonderful but difficult to get to for lots of people and little parking facilities and it was outgrown. The Magna is much bigger and access is better. Although it will be a long way from you, it will be a lot closer to many.

I hope you will come to Magna and see what you think. There will be a cake stall with home made cakes, buns and biscuits. Tea and coffee served too.

Fair enough. You'll have all the seller's postcodes, but why not ask the buyers for their postcode too? That way you can see how many people come from Rotherham area and how many from S11/10/7/17/6.

I think it'll make a huge difference being at Magna. I know sellers who don't want to sell because of the distance involved and are defecting to Togswap.
It would be a good if you could get a entrance fee deal with Magna, so that one parent and kids can visit whilst the other parent shops. Or, the seller can occupy themselves/kids whilst the sale is going on. This would avoid the too-ing and fro-ing, and therefore time and petrol.

I am informed that children are admitted free to Magna on the day of the sale. I also am informed that if you buy a day pass for Magna it will be upgraded to an annual pass free of charge. If you only use the passes on NCT sale days to omit the to-ing and fro-ing it is good value but it can be used all year round, maybe to entertain the children in the water park in the summer, and as it is already paid for it represents good value.

I am just a NCT member who volunteers at the sales, and I have not sold at the sale before but I am this time as there was a large waiting list before as previous sellers took preference. There is now room to make it larger and more sellers hence the advert.
