surely that shouldn't happen?

have you spoken to the manufacturers about it?

I had the same problem, although the window in question wasnt leaded. It was at least 15 years old (i think) and needed replacing anyway.

Just a loud bang, and theres a crack running from the bottom left corner to the top right corner.

This was a while ago though, and nothing to do with the current cold weather.

HI,

I work for a window company and unfortunatly this can happen.

There's no guarantee for this and we have had it happen to us.

Its a new D/G Unit thats needed

yes, i had this too, was stood in the kitchen with the dog next to me, when there was a huge bang, the dog ran away cowering, i looked up and saw one of our kitchen windows had shattered.

it wasnt very old, sow e managed to get it replaced free of charge, but now coldseal has gone bust, or rather, changed their trading names, so we now have no guarantee
