Try Bardwells, on Abbeydale Road, (just beyond Chippinghouse Road, but before you get to the Abbeydale Picture Palace)

They sell all things electrical; cables, conectors, resistors, leds the whole shebang.

They can give you one of two answers, can't they? "yes, we've got/ can get the cable you require" or "sorry, no we haven't/ can't get it"

Hope this helps

A quick google shows this place http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/6779.htm will ship them in a couple of weeks.
If the phone has Bluetooth, it might be easier (and cheaper) to get a USB Bluetooth adaptor for your PC (about £10).

Not sure if it's there anymore, but the mobile phone shop at meadowhall in the bus station (next to GT) stock loads of types of data cables.
