I know some of you might know about this already and think I'm abit behind on the local news scene - but I've just heard from a friend that the Odeon in town has shut down.

I know this isn't really a huge blow to the town centre as it's usually just full of chavs, students and school waggers!

Anyone know? or can confirm this?

No it hasn't. If you go on the Odeon website it's still listed as showing films.

It isn't as nice as the out of town ones, but it is nice to be able to watch a film in the town centre.... not everyone has a car, and its not so far to walk into town for those of us who are boycotting First buses.

So walk into town and get on a tram. It stops right outside, and only takes 5 minutes to get there.

The odeon really needs demolishing, if you want to see a decent film in the city centre then go to the showroom.
