View Full Version : Do they make any convertible cars that are diesel? There will be a 2 seater merc coming out with a twin turbo diesel, faster than most petrol sports cars, but unfortunately costs more than most of them too. Still returns 35MPG whilst doing <5s 0 - 60 though. mojoworking 19-11-2005, 10:26 Originally posted by Cyclone no 2 seaters AFAIK. The Mercedes SLK 320 CDI tri-turbo and SL 400 CDI bi-turbo are on the way it's true, but I assumed Craig7777 was looking for a real-world convertible and not a £50k+ car. waldershelf 19-11-2005, 11:03 Originally posted by mojoworking Audi A4 Cabriolet 2.5 TDI Renault Megane 1.9 dCI Cabriolet VW Beetle Cabriolet Peugeot 206cc Peugeot 307cc Cyclone 19-11-2005, 12:30 Originally posted by mojoworking The Mercedes SLK 320 CDI tri-turbo and SL 400 CDI bi-turbo are on the way it's true, but I assumed Craig7777 was looking for a real-world convertible and not a $50k + car. you've got to have a target to aim for. Anyway at 50 thousand dollars i'd be having one, suspect you might have meant £. mojoworking 19-11-2005, 12:55 Originally posted by Cyclone you've got to have a target to aim for. The keyboard I'm using doesn't have a £ sign (I have to create one as if by magic). ;) Zinger549 19-11-2005, 18:04 Diesel is now moer expencive than petrol fierysatsuma 19-11-2005, 18:30 Originally posted by waldershelf Peugeot 206cc Peugeot 307cc I've had a 206cc and I now have a 307cc - neither are available in diesel (unless a recent release has been released). If the 307cc would have been available in diesel, I would have had one. My 307cc is great, I love it, but the consumption is terrible - although my wife works in Leeds and travels 4 times weekly from Barnsly - we put nearly £100 per week in petrol in. I'm planning on selling it come Spring (I want a twin-cab truck!) Matt mojoworking 19-11-2005, 21:27 Originally posted by waldershelf Peugeot 206cc Peugeot 307cc Well spotted. You seldom see them, but I forgot these convertibles are also available in diesel (Sport 1.6 HDi 110 & HDi 136). Not only does it go further, but it also has no relevance to the OP ;) Craig7777 20-11-2005, 15:52 Thanks for your help people Think i better start saving;) waldershelf 20-11-2005, 20:36 Originally posted by fierysatsuma I've had a 206cc and I now have a 307cc - neither are available in diesel (unless a recent release has been released).
