Is it my imagination or has Tinsley been abandoned?
Ever since that " Monstosity" called "Meadowhall" was built, the village of Tinsley no longer figures in Sheffields plan's ( except to pull houses down to accommodate A new road to lead to " Hell "
I am Sheffield born and bred and moved to Tinsley in 1982 thinking what a nice place it is, but now neither Sheffield or Rotherham are interested in the welfare of the village since the steelworks made way for "THAT PLACE"
Am I alone in thinking this or has "Parania" set in ?
Replies would be very welcome

Isn't it in Rotherham?

Nope, just inside the Sheffield border I think. As someone who lives on the wrong side of the tracks (Aston, part of R*******m), I know how important this is ;)

According to the GIS here in the office, the border between Sheffield and Rotherham runs through or to the east of Tinsley. :)

It looks like it it runs along something called the Chapel Flat Dyke, and in that bit of Tinsley stuff to the west of the dyke (just to the east of Ferrars Road and Westwards) is in Sheffield.

Brinsworth Comp. is just in Rotherham, and the railway yards are just in Sheffield.

To the East of the line is Templeborough at the top, and Brinsworth and Catcliffe at teh bottom, all in Rotherham.

Got me thinking now Strix I know if I walk approx 400 metres it says" Welcome to Rotherham" but if I walk the opposite way it don't say welcome to Sheffield so Sheffield I must be in.

Strange. It appears this entire thread has been modified. I read this during my lunch hour at work, yet all the times now say mid afternoon and there are some posts missing.

I think it's because another poster was being pointlessly abusive and so had their posts deleted.

I think it's because another poster was being pointlessly abusive and so had their posts deleted. Coz Strix lives in another world, spams, trolls, doesn't stick to topics and quadruple posts in threads... The answer was given 3 posts from the initiating thread, but gosh, you don't want the truth to be known do ya ?

Captain_Scarlet - the posts removed were because people were being abusive. Ergo they went.

There is no 'SF Mafia'; I sometimes wish there were - there are a few members that I wish could be 'swimming with the fishes'. :)

If you have an issue, raise it through the 'Contact Us' link.

And as the question appears to be answered, thread closed.

Thanks,

Joe
