What's your opinon of the new Euro draw. Did anyone buy a ticket at £1.50? It's been claimed that the prize money could reach £50 million after a rollover. I find it interesting that this particular draw takes place on Sky television instead of the BBC.

I would've had a go, but if I did it once, I'd feel obliged to do it every week, can't afford that as well as the normal lottery.

1 in 76 million.......... No chance. I don't understand why they can't increase the overall odds of winning and lower the high jackpot prizes. For example, 6 numbers on the normal Lotto usually wins a prize in the millions, but get 5 numbers and you only get about £1000!! The prizes should be stepped up a lot more evenly. OK, Camelot would lose the headline grabbing jackpot amounts, but I think more people would play if they knew that there were bigger prizes on offer for getting less numbers.

I reckon they need to make a £5 prize for getting 2 numbers ;)

76 million to 1 at £1.50 a go and jackpot is only £50 million - they're taking the **** - no I won't be playing.

I won't be playing either. An E.U lottery. The word 'fiddle' springs to mind.

I wouldn't buy one for the world.

It's all about the odds beeing just as low as Lotto, Nat' Loterly, thunderball and all.
Just don't listen to it, don't even think you'll participate, just do the same as you would do with all no chance in hell things: ignore it, it'll pass.

I never buy lottery tickets, but I thought I'd risk £1.50 to win £55 million.

Anyone else having a go ?

I wonder if Cole Brothers do solid gold wheelie bins ?

I may do as it is so much. I mean what would be the point in winning just £10 million on a normal lottery, I regularly find more than that down the back of the sofa. :D

I'll certainly give it a try but will you stop pubicising it I got two tickets last time and not even a sniff. Mind you fantasising about what to spend the winnings on took up several hours. 10 bed house for Sara, 4x4 for........................

But what a waste of £1.50 if your first ticket wins!!!!!

I decided never to play the lottery again when just a couple of week ago someone with exactly same name as me won.
The odds are bad enough but i guess two people winning with the same name would be impossible.

Unless, perhaps, they're both called John Smith?

I don't usually bother but £1.50 is nothing and you never know, even the second or third prize could be quite big. I would be very happy just winning enough to pay the mortgage.

You get them from the normal lottery machines.

I've only managed to spend about 10 million so far, but I'm not sure how much a replica of Frank Lloyd Wrights Fallingwater house would cost (including finding the right spot), perhaps I could buy the original (I doubt it) ?

No there was a guy with the same name as me who won.
I do realise however that having the same name would'nt enter the equation.

I did notice in the interview with him that he was a bitter drinker though, i wonder if changing might improve my chances.
(just kidding incase anyones grasp of irony sucks:) )

I already donate to the NSPCC by DD.

I didn't win :(

However no-one else did either :)

So it's £66 million this Friday, which is a silly amount of money.

Get yourself another lottery ticket nick2! Who knows, you might be able to afford both the original and a replica of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater house? But get some curtains for all that glass, else we'll all be having a peep inside to look at our very own forum lottery winner!

If I win I will be walking round my house naked all day (don't ask, I just like it) so it's probably a good idea to get some nets up.

Well, there isn't much to do in Dore of a night, and everyone loves Bingo, there will also be a bar (with different lager offers each night) and a "scampi in a basket" style restaurant/diner.

I'll be laying on busses on from other parts of Sheffield too.

It will be a huge boon for the locals.

We'll take you to Dore Grill for dinner if you like and you can discover the true meaning of irony.

Pate Prawn Cocktail Melon, Steak Diane (flambeed at the table), Grilled Trout with Almonds, Pie of the Day, Sweets from the Trolley (inc Gateaux), dancing on Saturday nights (you have to be there trust me). Melba Toast in little baskets. The average age of the interns halves when we walk through the door and we take a friend who is 81! Really good if you have relly's with no teeth. Guess what it's packed, even lunchtimes during the week too.

I want to go now for the laugh.
