Hey there - I just spoken to one of my house mates and he told me how he 'had the **** kicked out of him' last night outside Leadmill. The incident happened at the end of the night outside the burger stand. The heroic bouncers, of course, did not cross the 'moat' [road] to help him whilst he was pummled by some men. He does not know why they attacked him and does not remember what they looked like [he was in a pretty bad way due to strikes to the head].

Now I realise the police won't give a **** about this [I myself had a similar incident happen a few years back outside Gatecrasher. The police spoke to my attacker but just let him go!] but this was a particually savage attack and the people that did it deserve at the very least to have a visit from the police.

So, do you know what happened last night? Do you have a description of the attackers or even a name? Please help my friend get some justice.

This is awful... certainly some nasty animals out there...

I do hope your friend makes a speedy recovery and that you find out more information on this terrible incident...

All the best

A similiar thing happened to me in May and I pestered the Police till they did something about it. There could be CCTV footage at the Leadmill, the Security staff may be witnesses and there could be DNA evidence on your friends clothing.

If it was me I would be onto the Police and demanding some action. How would your mate feel if he reads that the same T**** go further next time and seriously hurt someone?

It worked for me and, whilst I ended up having to get the Inspector involved, the Police eventually got their act together and charges have been brought.

Pass on my thoughts... Hope he's OK.

Amazing isn't it? You have to pester the police to pursue a serious, violent crime yet they need no encouragement whatsoever to throw the book at some poor motorist who happens to do 4mph over the speed limit!!

Crazy!!

Good luck with getting them to sort it - I hope they find them but I'm afraid the chances are pretty slim :(

i was attacked about 2 weeks ago, near my house. To their credit, the police arrived pretty quickly, and then spent about an hour taking a statement from me.
It was only after they had taken a statement, about an hour and a half after the attack took place, that they took me for a drive in their police car to see if I could see the person who attacked me around still.

Surely it would have made sense to have gone and done this straight away? How likely is it that someones going to hang around for that length of time?

And, needless to say, I haven't heard anything from the police since....
