View Full Version : Have you had an accident in the last 3 years?
clairelaw123 02-02-2011, 13:18 I'm sick of these people pouncing on me as I walk through the city centre, they're worse than the chuggers.
YES I have had many accidents in the last 3 years
NO I don't want to blame somebody else
Its called an accident!
They shouldn't be allowed to jump on people like this, it only encourages the people that believe everything is someone else's fault.:gag:
liamdavid08t 02-02-2011, 13:20 U agree with u
liamdavid08t 02-02-2011, 13:21 Ment I agree with u lol
jellytots10 02-02-2011, 13:22 Just like the charity people. I donate every month to a charity I feel is worthwhile. I contacted them and asked how to donate. If I want to donate I will I dont nneed someone too push me into it. They are so anoying. I know the charities need money but what you donate goes towards the wages of these collectors.
Total Chaos 02-02-2011, 13:25 I nearly had a trouser accident last week.

Thank god for you...I was losing hope that other people like you and me existed.
I am so sick of people putting cash before morals, mind many people don't even have them anymore.
They make me laugh though these people, 'have you had an accident in the last 3 years that wasn't your fault', surely that's what an accident is isn't it, chances are it wasn't the other persons fault either, a temporary lapse of concentration, the wrong training, lack of common sense...all of these things are usually a major contribution and they are all a fact of life.
The only time I would ever divert from the moral high ground is if I was run over by someone texting whilst driving and such like....then I'd happily sue their ass....
Well I keep getting texts telling me That their records indicate that I could get £3750 for my accident!! Now I am worried sick that they know something that I don't What accident??
deadheadfred 02-02-2011, 13:47 "Have you had an accident in the last 3 years?"
No, but bother me again, sunshine, and you will be having one in the next ten seconds!

It's ridiculous isn't it?
It also causes a lot of worry, a few months ago I fell over at work an damaged my back, which healed after a few weeks. The response I got from EVERYONE who worked there was "are you going to claim"?
Why would I claim? Because I'm clumsy? It all seems very strange to me.
How difficult is it for people to make these things up? I've heard of people faking claims but I don't know anyone who has done so (thankfully).

Yep, I've had plenty, one that sticks in mind is when I dropped a large lump of metal on my foot when I was welding on the wrong bench, I was off for 2 days, merely because my foot was bruised and I had to wear steel toe caps, the health and safety guy was up my backside for weeks afterwards. About 5 weeks later I was laid off and everyone was telling me I should whack a claim in because they laid me off :hihi::hihi::huh:, yeah cos that will help wont it? They gave me a job which they didn't have to and I was grateful, they laid me off because they are obviously struggling so if I chuck a claim in I could dent them even more.....what has this country come to, there's just no respect or decency anymore, everyone is just out for 'me, me, me'.
:gag:
LadOnDole 02-02-2011, 14:23 I can see why some people may see "blame then claim" as an easy way to some fast cash.
Slip on a pile of dog poo, and then sue the council.
The problem is is that it cause the insurance premiums to rocket, and so the lowest paid in society suffer the most

scoobydotcom 02-02-2011, 16:38 agreed, but if you have then let me know i will put you in touch with a cracking solicitor lol!
Darth Vader 02-02-2011, 17:28 Say yes, and let them take down your details and when they quiz you about the accident, tell them it was when they pounced on you in the street, you bit your tongue, and you have taken photographs of it, as it's become infected.
BananaSplit 02-02-2011, 17:30 I thought accident companies weren't allowed to approach you anymore in precincts?
"Have you had an accident in the last three years?"
"Yes, only last week I fell over an ambulance chaser who'd just been knocked down by a kick to the crotch."
I thought accident companies weren't allowed to approach you anymore in precincts?
They aren't.
If you want to play a fun game, ask them for a business card, then when you've got it, tell them you're reporting them to the Ministry of Justice who regulate these people, and that they've just cost themselves their jobs. Its quite good fun watching them get flustered.
clownaround 02-02-2011, 18:10 A good friend of mine received community service for assaulting one of these paracites. They were "harrassing" people in front of his market stall and as a result he was losing business because they were avoiding the usual "any accidents" by walking the opposite way round bypassing his pitch.
He asked him to move and was told to "f@&* off" he pushed they guy away from his stall.
Within an hour he was arrested for assault and charged.
The guy even put a claim in against him for the red mark he received when he was assaulted.
The cheek of it !!! Double wammy!!!
I am gonna try the above game. Sounds like fun. What excatly is the law on these people. Just so I can make them squirm a little more by quoting the law to them.
I had an accident on Saturday. I tripped on the steps from my house to my patio. Broke my elbow.
Who do I blame ... ME! For not concentrating and also not learning my lesson from the last time I did it. Hey ho.
I'll be in a good mood until the pain killers wear off again :)

The building company, obviously they haven't laid it correctly and you should bleed 'em dry...
