Hi all,

Don't know if I have posted this in the right place but hope somebody can help me.

I have been having driving lessons for the past 3 years on and off and have had around 70!! I haven't even had a test yet and I feel I am getting nowhere.

I am thinking of having an Intensive week pass course and just wondered if anybody has ever done one or can recomend one? I don't know if it would be worth it cos they are around £650 and it's not a guarantee pass.

I am taking my theroy test next week and I really want to push on which my driving, anybody any ideas???

If you've done that many lessons you should be ready for your test.

Get your theory done, if you pass it then book your practical right away. You'll probably be waiting 3 months for the test, so just have an hour lesson once a week to keep you fresh, then have 3 lessons in the week before your test.

I know I should be ready for my test but I still get things wrong and get nervous at roundabouts and my instructor says I am not nearly ready thats why I was thinking about and intensive course!!

well you won't have taken your practical test yet, seeing as you have to pass your theory first, don't you?

Good Luck with it anyway

Change your driving instructor. If you're nervous etc, and he's saying you're not nearly ready.. It's probably him that's knocking your confidence.

You just need to find the right instructor and stick with them.

Explain your situation to them over the phone, about being nervous and hesitant and that you need plenty of support and positive feedback to gain some confidence.

Hillsb_Honey not sure where you live, but a good patient instructer is Chris from Hallmark. He will steer you right (if you'll parden the pun). Good luck

Hi Hillsb_Honey

Give me a ring and we'll see what we can do to help you. You'll get the number from the website below and you'll see that we specialise in nervous pupils.

By the way GazB, you shouldn't tar everyone with the same brush - some people take longer than others.

I wasn't tarring anyone with any brush, Saxon.

My dad passed on his first test. My Mum took about a year and passed on her 4th attempt, my brother took about a year and a half and passed on his 8th attempt. It took me 6 months until I passed on my 3rd go.

So how am I tarring everyone with the same brush?

Straight up Ecclesall Road and keep going through Hathersage and Hope. But why, may I ask, have you posted this question on this thread?
