Orbital - In Sides

Still an album i can listen to over and over and over again without gettign bored, i always find somethign to like about it.

Asian Dub Foundation - Facts and Fictions

Possibly the first ever album i bought because i was influenced by my sister's musical taste, definitely not the last though.

Less Than Jake - Hello Rockview

Was going to Leeds festival and i'd liked what i'd heard, had o get more to feel all superior. Wasn't disppointed and this album still can keep me happy even now, just from memories.

The Offspring - Smash

This album kept me going through school, i used to be bullied a fair amount but i never did anything about it, just shut it off and let it no bother me, great for venting steam to.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Californication

I won a copy of this in a competition on the radio, i was one fo the first 100 people in the country to get it. I loved it all and when it stayed as popular as it did for such a long time, i was impressed i coul say 'oh yeah, i got that ages ago'

1) The Auteurs - After Murder Park. Is Luke Haines the best songwriter in the country? Possibly. All I know is that this album has rarely left the 'currently listening to' pile next to my stereo since it came out in 1996.

2) Mr Bungle - California. A twisted and chaotic homage to Brian Wilson. Jawdroppingly good, though not the easiest stuff to digest for newcomers. Astoundingly they play it even better live.

3) Tom Waits - Rain Dogs. The man's a genius. 'Nuff said.

4) Miles Davis - Kind of Blue. Could have picked any one of about 20 different albums for Miles. His later more experimental stuff is great but I always return to this. I defy even the most ardent anti-jazz person to dislike it!

5) Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica. Another genius, and hugely influential. Again, not for the faint-hearted but more than worth some effort.

Hmm, I must go and listen to these again immediately!

Hmm, I may have to swap two of mine for two of these. Although perhaps safe as milk instead.

lol, I made a mistake ok my post. I think it was a Freudian moment. I put The Score, the name of the Fugees album instead of her album The Miseducation Of.. ( before anyone corrects me!)

and how can you choose 5, it's imposible, Plus it changes all the time. I hope I never get stuck on a desert island.
