I think I'd agree with that although I am yet to see both Gerrard and Lampard play well together. Also, Beckham IMO must stay out on that wing and not come into midfield like he did the other night.
You've omitted Ledley King. I agree.
What wrankles me is that I feel we have a team capable of winning the World Cup yet feel we don't have the manager.
At some points in the friendly against the Argies I wasn't quite sure who was supposed to be playing where.
Let's hope the words David, James and England are never heard together again also.

That central midfield does not work.
And Campbell is a donkey.

You can't just say that -who would you put there instead?
Campbell is a better defender than ferdinand- he was to blame for the first goal the other night- drifing over towards the ball instead of staying on his man.
He is out of form and shouldn't have played!!

Agreed- i think he is tryingto introduce a style of play that we are not used to- we should stick to the basics and do what we are good at!!

Maybe have Carrick and Downing around too.
I say stay away from Crouch. Sorry but when I watch him the bloke drives me crazy. In a bad way.

Just because Ferdinand has a bad few games does not make him a bad player. Campbell and Terry are too alike. To be honest, I am not all that convinced by Terry.
He plays in a fantastic side, but think his lack of pace may cost England one day.
Rio is a fantastic ball player - he complements one of the other two.
And I think Wayne Bridge was CLEARLY the one at fault for their first goal. Rio might have cut it out, but he was going towards his own goal and it was cut back. In addition, he prob was not expecting his full back to be skinned as easily as he was.

Dammit, nearly. But it was either ruin the team by playing rooney or play michael brown....so ruining the team.

Good side, but would be slaughtered by decent opposition.
