I was wondering if anyone has a K608i on the 3 network. I know the network has had it's problems in the past but it does seem to work now. There are some very good deals about with Cashback offers so you basically get a free phone for a year.
Also, does anyone know if I can port my number from Orange to the 3 network.

I can't answer your question but I'm in a similar situation - I'm happy with Orange but 3 are offering me an unbelievable deal for the same money. Only thing stopping me is I like my existing number and want to keep it.

The person who phoned me to try and sell me the 3 deal admitted that the 3 network was, and I quote, "sh*t to start with but it's a lot better these days"!!!

so whats the deal with porting numbers? if you go from orange normal to orange 3g you can take your number, is it possible to take the number to other 3 networks?

If not then I really should stop looking at all these amazing deals.. had my number for ages. . don't like change.

I believe it's known as a PAC, or port authorisation code.

It basically allows you to take your number with you.

just contact orange and request it.

Then just tell your new network and they will switch it over.

I have been with 3 now 11 months and personally i have not had any complaints.

500 minutes any network plus 100 text works out as £4.99 with the cashback scheme. Not bad.
