anyone know what the rent rebate allowances rates for sheff are please
- the figure they pay up-to - eg in donny they paid £55 of £60 rent for house
also whats the current waiting time for apps to go through (get processed- seem to remeber was pretty long at one point

I waited about 3-4 weeks I think. I took all the documents into Howden House for copying. I am unable to say what proportion of council house rent is paid as I am not a council tenant. It does depend which benefits you get too.

I only waited about 2-3 weeks for mine to get sorted and I get £70 of a £75 rent - I rent privately, but apparently if you rent a house than is bigger than your needs (ie a single person in 2/3 bed house) then you only get amount for the size of property you are entitled to - if that makes sense LOL I may be wrong but I think if you rent a council property it's full rent that is covered. Hope that helps.

If your landlord is a member of Sheffield City Council's Responsible Landlord scheme they are supposed to get all claims prcessed in 2 weeks. That obviously depends on your supplying them with all the information they need to process the claim.
