Anyone ever been on a hot air balloon ride. I've always wanted to have a go in one on a hot summers night over Sheffield or The Yorkshire Dales.

I had a chance once, a long time ago
but never fulfilled the dream since then

Never done it but it's something I definitely would do if I had the chance.

I was thinking of it too until i saw the prices. There are those red letter day things for about £150 which i thought was a lot but then i realised thats just for one person and i dont think id want to go in 1 alone with strangers. Theyre way too expensive for what they are they are youre only up less than an hour aswell.

Sounds stupid but I think I'd get the urge to jump....

You must do it! It is fantastic. I did one over Chehire. I have never experienced such quietness and serenity. You can hear nothing, except the flames firing in to the balloon. It is beautiful. You go hedgehopping too and scare all the sheep in the field. We had to inflate the balloon, which was hilarious. Think there were about 8 of us in total. I only knew the person I went with, but everyone had a good laugh. I recommend it TOTALLY! It is costly but I think it is worth it. You get some champers and a certificate and a photo at the end of it too. Think I paid about £120 each. A fab, fun, exhilarating day out. Just DO IT! Money is only worth what you spend it on.
