Ok, I plugged my ipod into my computer to charge it up, and the screen lit up and displayed the 'Now Playing' screen with the last song I played on. Its still there. The screen is lit up, on the same screen, and can't be changed. I've tried unplugging it, plugging it back in (it doesn't register on the computer anymore) and nothing works, the backlight is still on. It won't switch off, none of the buttons do anything. And nope, I haven't left the lock button on!
If nothing else the backlight is really really going to annoy me when I try to go to sleep. Has anyone else had this problem and is it fixable?

Try resetting it - middle button and play...
Then the Apple logo should appear, then hit the middle, and it should all return...
:( It doesn't work. Oh I forgot to mention its Nano if that makes a difference. Maybe I should breathe in, breathe out, stop panicking and get the instruction book out! Thank you anyway
Ah Hah. Have put the instruction book somewhere for *ahem* safe keeping so cannot find it right now. But for Nanos its the menu button plus the centre button to reset :)
Thank you, and this can now be locked/deleted as appropriate. Phew!
