Has anyone ever been Pike fishing in the Lake District.

Just wondered if anyone knew any secret tactics for these huge deep waters, or do the good old ones work.

I think i will probably go down the lure way, still got some new Rapala lures i got for Christmas i have not tried yet.

Any lure recommendations people.

Will be fishing Bassenthwaite Water.

as far as i know, the majority of pike fishing is with big lures + jerkbaits fished from a boat, searching shelves + drop offs. i know there's a bloke on coniston does guided trips.
