Hi all, any girl skateboarders in sheff? I feel like the only one! maybe i just need to grow up! if your out there , reply. share your knowledge of any decent spots were im not gonna get hasstle from scallys!

you could try heading down to the house skatepark and asking someone who works there...rob (the owner) is a nice bloke, won't mind helping you out (if he's not too rushed off his feet) and, obviously, knows the scene as well as most.

i used to skate, and used to go to the house regularly, there was this girl i used to see there a lot, she was really good, had great style. good for her, i say!

i do parkour (known as 'freerunning') now though, it's a newely recognised sport over here (it was created in france and shown on tv here on ch4 last year - a program called Jump Britain) - it involves running through the urban environment and clearing the objects in your path. it's great fun. we meet on saturdays on the hallam university entrance at 12:00 every week. come along if youre intrigued.
